BIOGRAPHY
Teresa Mango is an established and versatile free-lance harpist.
As a performer, she is equally at home on the concert stage or as an entertainer playing for gatherings of all sizes from intimate dinners to large corporate functions.
Each December since 1994, Teresa performs daily at the famed Red Lion Inn in Stockbridge, Massachusetts where Yankee Magazine has featured her in their Christmas issue. She plays regularly at other resorts and at hotels from Albany to Nantucket and from the Adirondacks to Connecticut. In the Berkshires she often plays for holidays and special occasions at Cranwell Resort, The Crowne Plaza Hotel, Blantyre, and Wheatleigh.
Ms. Mango has been a regular guest artist at New York Hudson River Historic sites from Olana and Claremont to Montgomery Place and the Senate House in Kingston. In the Berkshires she has been featured at the Norman Rockwell Museum, The Clark Art Institute and Naumkeag.
In addition to solo programs, Teresa continues to perform chamber music with various regional artists and major works in the repetoire written for harp and chorus. Ms. Mango’s orchestral experience includes performances with regional orchestras throughout southern New England and New York including Hartford Symphony, Albany Symphony and Berkshire Symphony. She has played with Capital Repertory Theatre in Albany, Barrington Stage in the Berkshires, The Center for Performing Arts at Rhinebeck, The New York Theater Institute and with such entertainers as Charlotte Church, Neil Sedaka and Barry Manilow.
Ms. Mango resides in Great Barrington, MA. She has a formal classical training with a Masters degree from Manhattan School of Music. Teresa is associate faculty at The Hotchkiss School in Lakeville, CT, teaches harp at The Taft School in Watertown, CT, Westover School in Middlebury, CT, Bard College at Simon’s Rock in Great Barrington, MA and maintains a private teaching studio at her residence.
